The most prominent failure we've ever had was in 2000, when then Governor of Texas George W. Bush and Vice President Al Gore were running against each other. What was different about 2000 is that major networks called the state of Florida for Gore, even though Gore didn't win Florida. They gave a state to Gore, they took it back. It would be something if the networks managed to blow it twice in one night.
