Former CIA director James Woolsey and former Romanian secret police two-star general, Iain Mihai Pajepa, have an interesting theory about what happened in the Kennedy assassination. They think Oswald was involved in the JFK assassination and that it was ordered by Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev. Only it got called off, and Oswald went through with it anyway. So in a sense, it was a conspiracy and a Soviet ordered hit, but by the end Oswald was acting on his own.
