The Disagreement on Dogs in the Maliki School
The dog is forbidden in the Madduce school to keep it as a pet inside the home. Dogs can exist for shepherds, for the Bedouin, for nomads, if you're homeless. Angels do not enter the home that has a dog. That's prohibition because if angels don't go in, that's a loss. We need the angels of mercy in the house. The Turks have their own shepherds. There are lots of have dogs. And those dogs come into the tent, leave the tent. No city person who has a home like that.
