The Importance of the Logos in Christmas
The incarnation was the appearance of God in human flesh, but not just God in the sense of redeemer. The term word Logos in the Greek, used in John 1, is very significant. It meant a great deal to the oriental, means nothing to us. Christmas was God's emancipation proclamation. His name shall be called Emmanuel, God with us.
