By 2050 when the world needs to get to net zero the largest sector of emissions is likely to be aviation so it's clearly a big problem to be solved but you mentioned a few segments of aviation that could immediately benefit from electrification. One of those is helicopters. They are inefficient for the fuel they burn and most importantly they're unsafe because they have many many different ways of failing where just one part fails and then the helicopter fails. What is the joke about helicopters? The recent helicopters fly is not because of aerodynamics but because they are so ugly that the earth repels it and so that’s how they fly.
