What's the Difference Between Comedy and Stand Up Comedy?

I think one of the best things about doing stand up that I think we all, a lot of us feel is that moment where you have an observation or a thought. And does that experience that comics have where someone gets in touch and says, this was really meaningful to me. You've articulated a thing. How much of the gig is that to you? Like you love making people laugh and it feels really good to feel like you've made some sort of mark on people's life or you've helped somehow.
