Is There a Deep State?
You have to cultivate a really steely, just radically determined will to make your own judgments about what is true and what is good. I remain pretty bullish on american the American spirit of crazy, wild, decentralized ambition and creativity. i'm not convinced that the chinese authoritarian model's really viable in the very long term. And i think when the pandemic settles, even if in the short term, maybe more people die in America than would die otherwiseif we had a strong, authoritarian, centralized public health system.
