I've heard that sometimes when like high school sprinters for example who haven't really lifted weights get to college and they do a certain a lot of squatting their stride length might have decreased or something like that. One thing I notice at least amongst you know if that is the case something that could potentially contribute is some athletes' arches getting higher as they go down in barbell squats. The heavier the weight the less pronation there is, more rapid kind of knees in movement towards the towards the very bottom with quick knees in before they come up.
