"I'm just, I'm making connections and seeing how the work of Bonhoeffer does fit so perfectly into this kind of cultural moment," he says. "For me, that's one of the major reasons why I am not interested in the kind of Christianity that I grew up in because I don't want to be tied to those kind of things." He thinks maybe perhaps this movement of people stepping away from the church is actually more than a prophetic critique on what it means to call yourself Christian.
