The Deterioration of Stability in the Conversation About Politicians

I think a lot of it has to do with the internet, with social media, with the addiction to clicks and what we talked about last week, I think as the anger economy. There have been people for some time, including the former clerk of the Privy Council, Michael Wernick, who had been warning that this situation was deteriorating. And I think he was poo-pooed a little bit. Some people thought that his language was a bit over the top. He almost seemed to kind of just bring it out of left field. We've seen a gradual deterioration in the level of stability in the conversation about politicians among the public and among some commentators.
