The Story of Fernando Cortes
Fernando cortez was the son of a hidalgo, but didn't own any land. He wanted to fight in italy where there would always be demand for mercenaries. But as he got closer to his 18th birthday began hearing about discoveries on other side of world. By then stories had begun to flow back to europe about veritable mountains of gold. Cortes soon made up his mind and decided to cross over to the indies. His story has been told by historian de gormada who is now living in Spain.
