The Three Major Reform Programs of Solon

Solon's laws, known as the Cessac Thea, or the Shaking-Off of Burdens, supplanted those of Draco. He abolished debt slavery and forbidding loans secured by debt servitude. Solon wanted to reestablish a strong, free peasant base upon which Athens depended for future success.
