Urine Albumin Is a Good Proxy for Amyloidosis

When you're looking at glomerular disease, the dominant protein in the urine is gonna be albumin and so that's a good proxy. The one exception to that is gonna be a pair of protonemia, so if you've got multiple myeloma or amyloidosis that all bets are off. To get more precision, you'll need to do a protein to cranny ratio or the 24 hour urine.
