The Revolution of 2018 and 2019

Khalid: This war is really at the domestic level against the revolution and against the Sudanese people's will. The revolution itself of course caught the headlines as it should in late 2018 but it was many years in the making by 2010 partly because of the examples of Tunisia and then Egypt, he says. "This war is centrally about them trying to preserve the vast wealth that they both generated through illicit coercive and violent means," Khalid adds.
