Donna Langley at Universal Pictures created two new franchises this year. Super Mario Brothers owes a lot to Chris Melodondry and the illumination team there as well as the Nintendo IP. And then she created another one with Megan, the horror kind of comedy movie from Blumhouse that grows almost 200 million worldwide.
