The Language of God as Our Father
There are ten references to god as our father in verses. In the old testament, there is recognition of god as father, but it is so much rarer you don't see it very often. It really comes into clearer focus in the new testament, particularly through christ's own relationship with his father. And we can see the way it comes into the foreground at times of redemption as well. As we go out and we act in the world in this way of saving righteousness,. we will be marked out as the sons of god.
