The Pleasure Principle

I tend to think of freud as a profoundly capitalist thinker. He's thinking about mallays under a certain stage of capitalism, right? The pleasure principle isn't an essential characteristic of the human like it would be in spinoza or conatus. It's much more particular to the manufacture of desire, right?
