Cinematographers, those specializing in cinematography, shoot the films that the directors are making. Do you or does somebody specify who works with who or does a director get the choice? Because I know when I was at film school, I was very lucky that people would be directors sort of saw my work and asked me to shoot their films. But it wasn't so good maybe for some other students that wanted to be cinematographers because they didn't get to shoot as much as I did.
