The Extreme of Parenting
This is a level of dysfunction that is not relatable to me and I struggled with understanding why we have gone to this extreme in this movie. Bo finally hitchhiker hitchhiker the rest of his way to his mom's estate. He's just missed the funeral. It feels like a curse like that's the thing, also it's definitely an extrapolation of what I think a lot of parents do of like guilting their kids into behaving in certain ways by giving you the most extreme example of something.
