The Importance of Scale in Conflict Resolution
I'm currently specing something up on blue, red, red, peace and conflict resolution in the states. What we want to do there is to use children's ethnographers to break them to micro narratives at a street level. Then find where the narratives are interpreted in common between roaring factions and bring them together around those micro narratives. I did some of that work back in the 70s in Northern Ireland. We had one approach, which is get Catholics and Protestants together in a big room and talk about how we shouldn't throw petrol bombs at each other. Yeah.
