I think Hozier's always been an artist very interested in death and devotion The way that death doesn't end love, and so I think that's a perfect match to me. Two of these songs are inspired by different circles of hell, like Eat Your Young is related to the Vice of Gluttony, and All Things End is related to heresy. This makes me very excited for the new album He's a soulful artist, and he didn't deviate from, he didn't even do a left turn or anything, which is completely fine.
