The Thesis Review

CHAPTER

Should One Focus on What They Decided They Want to Work On?

I like the idea of being open-minded as much as possible and doing just whatever is interesting and fun for you. I encourage my students, for example, when they attempt the conference to go to see talks from areas that are different from their own area of expertise. Many of them work on areas that combine new machine learning techniques for NLP,. various applications, whether it's multilingual or monolingual. And yeah, maybe just like a higher level question. What do you think about this just idea in general? Should one kind of just focus and then they can always move on to something else in the future? Or yeah, I guess I don't have a specific question.
