I think that this entire process of identity via marketing is an larger sense sort of indicative of how much ground we've seeded to corporate power in the West and the United States. The more branding and consumer experiences are where people feel like they can act on the world, I think it would perhaps be more fulfilling for all involved to find new ground to have them on.
