The Benefits of BCG for Children
Evidence that BCG confers life-saving benefits goes far beyond tuberculosis. Evidence started emerging as far back as the 1920s and has held up over decades of observational studies, including clinical trials in young kids. People are about twice as likely to die if they don't get it compared to people who got it. UNICEF and other NWHO make sure that the supply chain exists and is replete so that there's enough doses to get to all the countries that want to use it.
