The Disjunction Between Weirdness and Exile

Gloria is in a fantasy and then it's this alienating moment of a confrontation with existential dread. She doesn't know where the feeling come came from because everything within the fantasy is so tightly structured that nothing can seemingly go wrong but something does go wrong. This feeling emerges from like it emerges from Barbie from the Margarabe Barbie, she says. The film makes an intimate tie between Gloria and the stereotypical Barbie which is why I think that's important.
