From Public Health to Facilities Management

Faith Ray is the Facilities Management Environmental Health and Safety Manager at William & Mary where she is passionate about caring for the wellbeing of those that manage the built environment. Mike Petrusky asks Faith about her career journey from public health to facilities management and her involvement with the Virginia Chapter of APPA. They explore the opportunity to create a culture of connection and psychological safety by prioritizing employee wellbeing over budgets and deadlines. Faith believes that the built environment needs to be more adaptable to changing circumstances and we must incorporate new safety features while empowering and equipping staff with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful.
