Money can be such a taboo conversation that it almost seems like it's just a conversation for adults where sometimes our parents feel like maybe we're too young to be invited into those conversations. I don't think that it's something that has just been passed down for generations. Not talking about money for the older generations in the black community is a sign of protection for them because someone can't take from them what they don't know that they have.
