The Solidarity in the Ukraine Crisis
The team went to the Dunbas with a Ukrainian friend who was evacuating people from Lissi Chansk before it fell. They had to try and get out by lunchtime because they were told that's when the shelling ticked up. It was trying to find people's addresses which is a nightmare in Ukraine. But being in the Dunbas people quite often say to us, 'you must be crazy to what you do' The closest we went to the front lines in back-mute was a kilometer from the Russians but it isn't as dangerous as some think.
