Trying to Submit a High Level Opponent From Bottom Side Control
It is ok to attempt a submission from the bottom, as long as it is part of your defense of strategy. The most imporant thing is you don't want to have a defensive game that comes down to just like clinging on to the guy or staying in that bad position. And usually the easiest way to do that is to identify and address the leading edge.
