Hildegard of Bingen started having visions when she was five or six years old. She had been sick since childhood, and continued to degrade throughout most of her life. Hildegard wrote dozens upon dozens of songs, liturgies,. musical morality plays, and chants like this one. Even Rousseau tied with the idea of an a priori language based in a logic so essential and simple that all humans would instantly recognize it.
