Bayezid's War With Venice
The rise of the Safavid order was exceptionally dangerous for Bayezid and his empire. The Sultan devoted tremendous resources to building up a considerable fleet. By 1499, Bayezid was launching a full-scale attack on the Venetian possessions left in the Eastern Mediterranean. But by 1500, even during the war with Venice, other matters to the East became more important.
