The History of Sex Work

Sex worker rights and the criminalization of abortion and contraception have a shared history, right? This dates back to the Comstock law of the 1870s. And so we criminalized abortion, contraception, prostitution, and alcohol all at the same time. We did a lot of it in the name of specifically protecting white women. But one of the main problems is that we've conflated violent exploitation with prostitution.
