Many people don't even realize what they're invested in, but they're typically being managed or invested in some sort of Wall Street product ETFs. You would think that when you purchase an Apple stock or anETF, you hit the buy button. That's pretty passive, right? I mean, you don't actively run the business. So what happens is you get taxed on that as an ordinary income. The upside is because you're not down to those rules and they don't get you coming and going and you have options.
