The idea of getting movies delivered to your home is less exotic in an era of blockbuster and then eventually DVDs priced at $20 or less that you could just own. But if you look at the early HBO series, one thing that stands out and I went back and watched a lot of those shows, they look so cheap. They are so- like the production values are so bad. Even shows that were pretty critically admired like Tanner 88, even the Larry Sanders Show, which was like a beloved show.
