If there's multiple countries around the world being invaded, you don't have as many people to trade with. There will be less wealth, and that wealth hits you. My view of economics is predicated on the fact that we live in a fallen world. The notion that if we leave people alone, they will turn into good people is the strangest thing,. morally and intellectually, that i've ever heard it said.
