The kef subwoofer falls into the category of subs that are kind of made for stereo use and what they mean is if you're hooking this up to bookshelf speakers. It's relatively small like you can you can hide it somewhere you can tuck it behind something quote unquote good subs tend to be large larger than anybody wants in their house unless you have a dedicated theater room where you can hiding it with a plant or something.
