The Daily Mail coined the word 'Suffragette' as a slam on women's rights. Lords of London issued insurance policies that covered damages by suffragettes. Women had to surrender their parcels and umbrellas at museum doors. They were trained in Jiu Jitsu by one of the suffragettes, Edith Garrod. But they also had big wooden clubs concealed about their person. The National Portrait Gallery was forced to handcuff women into public galleries. Saudi Arabia gave women the right to vote in 2015; Vatican City still denies it.
