In 19 o five, a creek indian woman by the name of ida e glen allowed a prospector to drill on her land allotment about 15 miles south of tolsa. Turns out it sat squarely on top of one of the biggest known oil reserves in the country. Within two years, the glenpoole oil fields were producing over 18 million barrels a year. Talsa became the suthy arabia of the world in those years. There was so much construction going on. And so when you look at the population census of talsa, like in 19 hundred, it's like 15 hundred people. And 19 20, it's up to 78 thousand
