The Future of Exoplanets With Magnetic Fields
The Earth is this powerful radio beacon as are the other solar system planets. And we expect that exoplanets with magnetic fields are going to have the same kind of behavior. Radio mission will be able to get a sense for how strong their magnetic fields are which will tell us about how their atmospheres might evolve and ultimately whether or not they may be habitable for life, he says.
