I think they're fundamentally problematic at this point. Who could have predicted like the era that we are in now? I mean, well, women. That's the population. But just like the actual takedown of monsters like Harvey Weinstein and stuff like that, to me, like, and a lot of the women that I talk to, it's just amazing that anything's happening. It is unfair to place all of our like hopes for this utopian future where we do have true equality on any one movie. Until we have a profusion of movies, female-led movies where we have this amazing diversity and range then we can't have gone girl," she said.
