How much protection is really offered by having a disclaimer, or a linkto a disclaimer in the footer of my web side? It's kind of twofold. Just because you have a disclaimer policy that's as, i'm not liable, doesn't mean that if somebody gets injured, they're not going to try to sue you. But what it does mean is you have a way to fight that. Whether you'll be successful or not will depend on, again, how you talk about certain information and whether your tone intends for people to take it as advice and act on it.
