The Light Has Goed Out of My Life
Roosevelt lost his wife and mother on the same day. He went out west to start ranching, where he met blue collar Americans who were dispossessing native americans. After a few years of living in the west, he was appointed as civil service commissioner by president Harrison. Roosevelt would go on to become mayor of upland, Indiana - but not without some controversy.
