The Contemplation of Death
i think the contemplation of death is generally important and can take on a different sort of valence depending on the underlying mood that you're contemplating it in. Even in buddhism, a long tradition of forcing yourself to contemplate death, is that it can bring beauty and immediacy to the moment. In our cultures, we often have this idea of death, as, you know, you're locked up in a dark room for ever and ever and ever. It's like, isn't that horrible? Am, but i think that's what spinoza is saying, we shouldn't think of,. because it's just a thought, a not vindicated by any experience. Whatever.
