How to Choose the Right Value Pattern for Your Painting

Most people are comfortable painting in the middle values. My inclination is to let the one be the light valueLet five be the middle value and let nine be the dark value. It doesn't work that black just looks like the labria tarpetslike a hole in the surface of the painting. So what you have to do is you have to integrate that nine by surrounding it with AIDS.
