The Impact of Asthma on Black Kids
Four in 10 black kids live in areas with poor environmental and health conditions. Connecticut has some of the highest asthma rates in the country. Black families are more likely to live in rentals because of discriminatory housing policies. They're also less likely to have easy access to health care for the same reasons.
