Some women will have a hysterectomy with their ovaries removed. There are reasons for that if women have extensive endometriosis or if they're found to have changes in their ovaries, like lots of cysts and heavy periods. Sometimes a woman will have her ovaries removed if she's been diagnosed with breast cancer and it's part of the management. So there are lots of different reasons.
