The Gender Gap in Religion

Each week, host Vee Cortis and Abuelita Liliana Montenegro will play matchmaker for a group of hopeful romantics. All of the major world religions are based on scriptural texts that reflect the male-centered worldview of the times in which they were written. With the exception of Native Americans, who seem to have enjoyed relatively egalitarian gender roles before the European conquest, women have shared similar experiences of subordination because of their gender.
