The Trust Model for OIDC
It could be used when you've got an on-premises application that needs to talk to an AWS application, for example. You just need to think about what is your OIDC provider and how are you going to issue those credentials? It might be worthwhile mentioning actually as a side-gue. There was a very recent announcement for a new feature called IAM roles anywhere. But it sounds like another way of doing this kind of system to system interaction.
