The Last Twelve Years of Marcus's Rule

Marcus returned to the Danube in 169 with his son-in-law Claudius Pompeonus by his side. The Azogies invaded Dacia, captured the gold mines and killed yet another governor. Other German tribes launched their own raids into Roman territory. And just like that, the last twelve years of Marcus's reign was written. War along the Danube for the rest of his natural life.
