Cockran Collaboration - Evidence Based Medicine

Lisa barrow is a professor of medicine and co chair of the cockran collaboration. Cockran tes evidence based medicine by performing systematic reviews of medical research. She says funding sources and author financial conflicts of interest are associated with over optimistic data. If a drug study is funded by a pharmaceutical company whose drug is being examined, they're much more likely to find that the drug is effective or safe.
